Our Story
What comes to mind when you hear the River of Jordan? The Jordan River appears many times within the scriptures. It often refers to a freedom that comes after a long season of adversity and waiting. Crossing the River of Jordan is a turning point on the way to freedom. The waters of the Jordan represent freedom from oppression, breakthrough, and deliverance. Hence, our program's name, Jordan's River of Tots goal is to serve as a transition point. The Jordan river represents an opportunity we all have before us. Jesus gives hope in Him. Students of Jordan's River of Tots are loved through their many stages of life, challenged intellectually and encouraged to be the best version of themselves.

Our Mission
We offer a high level early childhood developmental program that provides real-life solutions to the everyday working family. Our mission is to serve underprivileged communities with an overall mission to help reduce rates of poverty, increase self-awareness and self-accountability to achieve desired life outcomes starting at the earliest stage possible (Birth).
Excellence is not found in our proven curriculum, or because of the building that our program resides in but it is found in the standard of love in each interaction with the children we serve, their families and our staff. We count it a privilege to serve families in this community.

Meet The Owner
As a business professional, wife and mom of 3
amazing daughters, Owner, Cortina Cotton established Jordan's River of Tots in August of 2020. As an accomplished woman in her community, Cortina had a desire to impact the community on a larger scale. In 2016, Cortina parted ways with her corporate position and entered the world of Early Childhood Development where she served as a teacher of children ages 3 to 5 years of age and then as a director in her dads program. Cortina credits the experience she had under her dads leadership for the Early Childhood Educator that she is today. Cortina believes that she has a responsibility to our future leaders to use her God given gifts to create environments where children can thrive, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Jordan's River of Tots is a place where children can come and do just that.
